A word here about how this works: if you send a Paypal contribution, Paypal most often takes a significant bit of it for their fee...Then I immediately forward the remainder to Kabuye using Xoom. Paypal is not available in Uganda, but Xoom is. Xoom does not take a fee. The actual amount that Kabuye recieves is determined by the exchange rate that Xoom uses. Kabuye says that is usually more favorable than the rate used by Western Union. 

Xoom is a Paypal subsidiary. If you already have a Paypal account, you can use Xoom. You will have to fill in Kabuye's identifying information the first time you use Xoom, but, after that you will not have to enter that information again. Using Xoom saves time...Kabuye usually gets the money within 15 minutes...and it saves whatever fee Paypal chooses to charge.
